July 10, 2020 //  by Kerry Jeffery//  Leave a Comment

Acceptance of your illness is the most essential part of starting to get your life back. Most of us know this but it can feel almost impossible to do.

How can you begin to accept something that has made such a significant change in your life and taken away so much of  how you used to live?

In this new podcast, I walk you through a specific mind shift exercise that up until now, I have only shared with my clients as part of their programs with me.

It will help you change how you feel about your chronic illness and give you a new framework for how you think about it and visualise it, that will reduce a lot of the resentment, fear and overwhelm you feel.

And in case you were wondering, acceptance does NOT mean giving up. Acceptance is an active, ongoing process that is positive and powerful.

I practice acceptance every day, often multiple times a day, especially when I am experiencing flares or other health challenges. It really will help make your days and moments better.

You can  listen to the podcast here on the blog or search and subscribe to the podcast on Spotify, iTunes and most podcast players.

If you enjoy this episode, please leave a review. It really helps me reach a bigger audience who need to hear what I have to share.

Thanks so much!

Kerry

I’m Kerry Jeffery,  Award Nominated, Internationally Certified Life Coach, Counsellor and Clinical Hypnotherapist.

When I first became chronically ill in 2014, I thought my life was over. I had lost my old self, my career and my ability to care for myself.

I was left sitting in the wreckage of my life trying to find my way back and I couldn’t find a therapist who could even begin to understand how I felt.

So, I became the therapist and coach that I needed to help me rebuild my life. I learned new skills and  created a new emotional framework to find my way to deal with the often complex emotional issues that come with chronic illness.

Now, I help people all over the world learn to do the same and go from surviving, to thriving.

Your new life with chronic illness needs new skills, strategies and expert support from someone who knows exactly how it feels.

You don’t have to keep doing this alone.

Testimonials

“Instead of trying to medicate the problem away or shrug issues off (like the traditional therapist/counsellor/psychiatrists I’ve encountered in the past) you helped me get to the very roots of my anxieties, fears and trauma.”
