I had such a wonderful time meeting and chatting with Alexandra Raver who blogs delicious recipes at Don’t eat the spatula .
Alexandra was only 19 years old when she was given a diagnosis of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) after years of feeling like there was something different about her with the symptoms like weight gain, facial hair and exhaustion to name a few.
Many autoimmune diseases are invisible, but some like PCOS are visible in a way that immediately generates judgement and assumptions from people who think they know who you are. Dealing with assumptions made on how you look can add even more challenges to what is already a challenging situation.
If you have PCOS or know anyone who does, you will get so much inspiration from this interview.
